I’m a mechanical engineer with a background in robotics, and for many years I’ve been designing and building objects for myself — testing ideas through hands-on prototyping, iteration, and use.
Under the name mach, this approach becomes a design practice focused on reduced, functional objects with the aim to turn some of these prototypes into prdoducts. Construction and function are not hidden; joints, screws, and mechanisms remain visible and take the role of ornament. The aim is to create long-lasting objects with clear logic, honest materials, and a focus on repairability and understanding.
Production
All products are made by hand in small batches in my room-turned-workspace in Cologne, Germany. The production process is a work in progress — continuously tested, refined, and optimized — and built around simple tools, repeatable steps, and thoughtful use of materials.
Each piece is assembled, checked, and finished individually. Small variations and imperfections are part of the process. They reflect the hands-on nature of the work, make each object slightly personal, and keep the act of production visible rather than concealed.
Availability
Products are produced in limited batches. Availability depends on material stock, production capacity, and ongoing adjustments to the manufacturing process.
As demand develops, batch sizes and availability are continuously reviewed and refined. When a batch is sold out, the next production run will be announced.

Shipping is currently available within Europe. Delivery times depend on product availability and the current production schedule.
